Breast Surgery

Breast surgery encompasses a wide range of surgical procedures performed on the breasts for various medical and cosmetic reasons. At Brundavan Nursing Home, we offer comprehensive breast surgery services, including diagnostic procedures, cancer treatment, reconstructive surgery, and aesthetic enhancement, with a focus on patient safety, comfort, and satisfaction.

  1. Diagnostic Procedures:

  • Breast Biopsy: We perform breast biopsies to obtain tissue samples from suspicious breast lumps or abnormalities identified on imaging studies (such as mammography, ultrasound, or MRI). Biopsy results help diagnose breast conditions such as breast cancer, benign breast tumors, or inflammatory breast diseases.
  •  Sentinel Lymph Node Biopsy: In cases of breast cancer, we may perform sentinel lymph node biopsy to assess whether cancer has spread to nearby lymph nodes. Sentinel node biopsy helps determine the stage of breast cancer and guide further treatment decisions.
  • Breast Cancer Treatment:

    • Breast-Conserving Surgery (Lumpectomy): We offer breast-conserving surgery, also known as lumpectomy or partial mastectomy, to remove the cancerous tumor while preserving as much breast tissue as possible. Lumpectomy is often combined with radiation therapy to achieve optimal cancer treatment outcomes.
    • Mastectomy: For patients with advanced breast cancer or those who prefer a more extensive surgical approach, we offer mastectomy, which involves the removal of the entire breast tissue. Mastectomy may be followed by breast reconstruction surgery to restore the breast’s shape and appearance.
    • Breast Reconstruction: We provide breast reconstruction surgery for women who have undergone mastectomy or lumpectomy and wish to restore their breast shape and symmetry. Breast reconstruction options may include implants, tissue expanders, autologous tissue flaps (such as TRAM, DIEP, or latissimus dorsi flap), or a combination of techniques tailored to each patient’s preferences and medical considerations.
  • Cosmetic Breast Surgery:

    • Breast Augmentation: We offer breast augmentation surgery to enhance breast size and shape using saline or silicone implants. Breast augmentation can improve breast symmetry, restore lost volume, and enhance overall body proportions.
    • Breast Lift (Mastopexy): We perform breast lift surgery to raise and reshape sagging breasts, improve nipple position, and restore a more youthful breast contour. Breast lift surgery may be combined with breast augmentation or reduction to achieve the desired aesthetic outcome.
    • Breast Reduction (Reduction Mammoplasty): We offer breast reduction surgery to reduce breast size, alleviate physical discomfort (such as neck, shoulder, or back pain), and improve breast shape and proportion. Breast reduction surgery can also enhance breast symmetry and alleviate skin irritation or rash beneath the breast fold.
  • Revision Breast Surgery:

    • Implant Revision: We perform revision surgery for patients with complications or dissatisfaction following breast augmentation, such as implant rupture, capsular contracture, implant malposition, or aesthetic concerns.
    • Breast Reconstruction Revision: We offer revision surgery for patients who have undergone breast reconstruction and desire modifications or improvements to their reconstructed breasts, such as symmetry adjustments, scar revisions, or implant exchanges.
  • Non-Surgical Breast Procedures:

    • Breast Aspiration: We perform breast aspiration to drain fluid-filled breast cysts or abscesses, relieve discomfort, and obtain fluid samples for analysis.
    • Nipple Reconstruction: We offer nipple reconstruction surgery for patients who have undergone mastectomy or breast reconstruction and wish to restore the appearance of the nipple-areola complex using surgical techniques such as skin grafting or tattooing.
